Coach Michael Brasile – Head Varsity email@example.com
Coach Brasile is the head football coach at Woodstock High School and is a 1999 graduate of Woodstock. In high school Coach Brasile was a part of the 1997 Class 5A State Championship team along with the 1996 Quarterfinal and 1998 playoff teams. He was an All Conference, All Area and All State (Honorable Mention) defensive and offensive lineman. In college he received a full scholarship to Ball State University before transferring to Augustana College (’03) where he was a 4 year starter on the defensive line and was All-CCIW for 3 years, making the D3 playoffs in 2001. He was previously a coach at Woodstock High School under head coach Steve Beard, where he served as a Freshmen assistant for 1 year and varsity assistant for 5 years from 2006-2011, making the playoffs in ’07, ’08 and semifinals in ’09. Coach Brasile also coached at Leyden High School for 2 years under Tom Cerasani as a Freshmen assistant and Varsity assistant before being the head coach at Hampshire High School for 4 years (’14-’17), during his time at Hampshire Coach Brasile had a record of 14-23 with one playoff appearance in 2015 and was the recipient of the U.S. Marine Corp Semper Fi Award for coaches. Coach Brasile is married to his wife Heidi and has two kids: step-daughter Anna and son Levi.
Coach Jon Brown – Varsity Offensive Coordinator
Coach Brown is the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Woodstock High School. He previously served as the sophomore head coach from 2013-2017. Before coming to Woodstock, Coach Brown coached 2 years at Andrew High School in Tinley Park. Coach Brown is married to his wife Meghan, who is currently the Blue Streaks Head Girls Track Coach.

Coach Lewis Miskowicz – Varsity Assistant
Coach Miskowicz came from Rock island Illinois the son of teachers and football coaching. He pursued both teaching and football while graduating from Notre Dame in 1974. His teaching and coaching career began in Rock Island and continued at Marian central in 1978. From 1981 to 2007 he taught and coached at Palatine Fremd high school where he was inducted in the coaching hall of honor in 2018. After retiring in 2007 Coach Lew spent time coaching at Johnsburg and Hoffman Estates high schools.
Coach Richard Brown – Varsity Assistant
Coach Rich Brown is an assistant varsity football coach at Woodstock High School. He began teaching at Antioch Community High School in 1976, where he also coached football and baseball for eighteen years. He coached all levels of football at Antioch and also served as the varsity offensive coordinator for several of those years. He was also head baseball coach at Antioch. In 1994, Brown took an administrative position at Andrew High School in Tinley Park, Illinois, where he was in charge of the physical education, drivers education, and health departments, and also helped to coach all levels of football. After retiring, he has volunteered with the sophomore football program at Woodstock High School for the last five years. He has been married to his wife Kathleen since 1978, and they have three adult sons.
Coach Steven Beard – Head Sophomore
Coach Beard served as the WHS head football coach from 2003 to 2014. He served as assistant coach under IHSCA Hall of Fame Coach Ed Brucker at WHS from 2000 to 2002. He has been an assistant or the head coach in 16 playoff games. At the University of Northern Iowa, Coach Beard was the assistant defensive backs coach in 1997, the tight ends coach in 1998 and the quarterbacks coach in 1999 and 2000. He has a 9 year old son, Max and a 7 year old daughter Quincey.
Coach Tom Mitchell – Sophomore Assistant
Coach Mitchell attended Woodstock High School and was a multi-sport athlete, playing football, basketball and tennis. Following graduation, Coach Mitchell went to Carroll College and played football. Coach Mitchell graduated with a degree in elementary education and began his teaching career in 1978. His first coaching position was at Marian Central in Woodstock. In 1981, Coach Mitchell joined the staff at Woodstock coaching football, basketball, wrestling and tennis. He had the good fortune of being a part of two state championship teams while coaching at Woodstock. His wife, Kelly, is also a Woodstock graduate and was a third-grade teacher at Dean Street Elementary until her retirement. Their daughter, Chelsea, as well as their son, Keil, both graduated from Woodstock. Their daughter, Chelsea is married to Brett Oates and Coach Mitchell and his wife are the proud grandparents of their granddaughter, Charlee. Their son, Keil, will be the defensive coordinator for the sophomore squad this season.
Coach Keil Mitchell – Sophomore Assistant
Keil Mitchell is the Sophomore Defensive Coordinator/Varsity Defensive Backs coach for the Woodstock Blue Streaks. He graduated from Woodstock High School in 2009 where he served as the starting Free Safety for the 2008 Blue Streak defense that only allowed an average of 10 points per game; ranking them among the top defenses in the state of Illinois. Keil then enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the fall of 2009, playing club football for the Panthers and eventually working his way up to captain status and a player/coach for their defense. He returned to Woodstock Football as a volunteer coach for the Sophomore program in the Fall of 2016. The following season he was promoted to Defensive Coordinator of the Sophomore squad where he continues to work today.
Coach Patrick Grisolia – Sophomore Assistant
Coach Patrick Grisolia is a graduate of Dundee Crown high school. After high school he enlisted the United States Navy. After 20 years of dedicated service he retired in 2005.
Coach Grisolia was one of the original founding members of Woodstock Thunder Youth Football organization. He held various positions with the youth organization. He coached youth football for 7 years before becoming a volunteer coach at Creekside middle school.
After coaching football at Creekside Middle School he took on the job as the defensive coordinator for the freshman team at Woodstock High School for 2 years. He is currently the defensive line coach for the sophomore team.

Tony is excited to join the Blue Streak coaching staff after having been a teacher in the building for the past 14 years. During high school, he played offensive and defensive line for Iowa City City High School. In 1992, he was a letter-winner for The Little Hawks went undefeated (9-0) through their brand-new “super conference” schedule. They did lose to the eventual state champions during the 4A quarter finals, but still ended up ranked #2 in two major papers. Tony was the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the 4-4 Durango (CO) High School freshman football team while first teaching. He has coached football, baseball, basketball and volleyball at various levels. His greatest sporting accomplishment is participating in Age-Group Triathlon Nationals in 2015, an Olympic distance triathlon, which is an invitation only event. He placed place 148 out of 180 men 40-44 years old.
Coach Logan Kunzie – Freshman Assistant
Coach Kunzie is the freshmen offensive coordinator at Woodstock High School and is a 2010 graduate of WHS. In high school, Coach Kunzie was a part of the 2009 semi-finalist and 2008 playoff teams. He was selected All-Conference, 1st Team All-Area, and All-State as Quarterback. In college, he played under Coach Stan Zweifel at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. There, he was awarded All-Conference Academic 3 years and was a member of the 2011 IAAC Championship and Division III playoff qualifier team. Previously, Coach Kunzie coached as the sophomore offensive coordinator at Dubuque Senior High School with a 10-8 record. He has moved back from Iowa to be closer to family and proudly wear the blue and white again. Coach is married to his wife Lisa and recently welcomed his first child, Landry, in June.
Coach Ches Dougherty – Freshman Assistant
Coach Zach Cullum – Freshmen Assistant
Zach Cullum is an assistant coach at the freshman level at Woodstock High School. Zach Cullum played 4 years of football at Woodstock High School from 2012 to 2016. He was a Wide Receiver his Freshman year and a Quarterback his last three years of high school. Zach went on to play Tight End at Monmouth College, but he transferred after a semester to McHenry County College. He will continue going to school at Northern Illinois University next year. Zach’s high school coaching career started in 2017. He was a Quarterback coach at the Sophomore level where he coached under Jon Brown, the current Offensive Coordinator for the varsity team at Woodstock High School.
