VB Coaches’ Bios

Jill Rokosik, Head Varsity Coach
Coach Jill Rokosik is in her first season at the helm of the Blue Streak Volleyball Program. With 12 years of head college coaching experience (Trinity International 2006-2011; Judson University 2012-2017) and six years of club coaching experience (Sky High Volleyball), Coach Rokosik is excited to invest in Woodstock Volleyball.

At the collegiate level, Coach Rokosik boasts over 200 wins, qualifying for the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament in eleven of her twelve seasons, and NCCAA Nationals four times. She coached 6 NCCAA All Americans, twenty-five CCAC All-Conference recipients and thirty NAIA Academic All-Americans. During her tenure, she was named CCAC Coach of the Year and NCCAA Regional Coach of the Year.

At Sky High, Coach Rokosik placed second at AAU Nationals (2015, 17 Club), third in 2018 (17 Aspire) and served as an assistant to win 16 Classic (2014). In 2018, she also led Sky High 15 Black in a season in which they triple qualified in 15 Open, winning the Minneapolis Qualifier and placing second at Windy City and Mideast Qualifiers, a feat only 2 other teams at Sky High have accomplished.

Coach Rokosik has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Florida International University, where she competed from 1995-2000.

Natalie Ricca, Junior Varsity Coach
Coach Natalie Ricca will be starting her first season with the Blue Streaks this 2018 season. Natalie has previously coached Volley Kids at Sky High Volleyball and she has been playing volleyball since she was 10 years old. From Crystal Lake, IL, she attended Crystal Lake Central High School and grew up playing volleyball at Sky High.

Coach Natalie graduated in 2018 from Judson University where she was a setter all four seasons. Ricca appeared in 533 games and recorded 4,310 assists making her the second all time assists leader in program history. She was named to the CCAC All Conference First Team her freshman year along with earning NCCAA Scholar Athlete and First Team All Region Awards throughout her time at Judson as well.

Coach Ricca is excited to start her first season at Woodstock High School. Her volleyball knowledge and playing experience will be an asset to the WHSVB program.

Sarah Olesen, Freshman Coach
Coach Sarah Olesen will be starting her 4th season with the Woodstock High School.Before joining the coaching staff at Woodstock High School, Coach Olesen was a student athlete at WHS graduating in 2010. She continued her athletic career through college as the starting middle for Aurora University, graduating with a degree in Communications and Public Relations in 2014.

Since graduating Coach Olesen has worked as a volleyball coach and speed & agility trainer with organizations including Sky High Volleyball, Cyclone Volleyball, and most recently as the Event Coordinator for Chicagoland non profit DEA Nation.

Her previous seasons coaching with WHS have brought her to an overall record of 32-22 with the Freshman teams. Coach Olesen is excited to continuing to build positive relationships with all of the athletes and looks forward to being a part of the growth and continued success of the program.
